Article 1 (Definitions)

  1. “Service” means the functions the Company provides through the SkinCube web platform and the SkinCube measurement device app, such as storing and viewing measurement data, reports, sharing, export and institution management.
  2. “Institution” means a medical institution, beauty shop or retail store, provider institution (distributor) or similar party that has entered into a service agreement with the Company.
  3. “User” means a person who uses the Service with an account issued by an institution (Institution Admin, Operator or Viewer).
  4. “Subject” means a person whose skin is measured with the device; a Subject does not have a Service account.
  5. “Measurement data” means all information generated through measurement, such as measured values, face photos, analysis results and reports.
  6. “Shared link” means a web address through which a report can be viewed without logging in.

Article 2 (Effect and amendment of the Terms)

  1. These Terms take effect when posted on the Service screen.
  2. The Company may amend the Terms to the extent that it does not violate applicable laws. Amendments are announced on the Service screen from 7 days before they apply, and from 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to Users or otherwise significant.
  3. A User who does not agree to the amended Terms may stop using the Service and withdraw; if the User continues to use the Service after the announced date, the User is deemed to have agreed.
  4. Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by the Privacy Policy, the product manual and warranty card, and applicable laws. If the institution and the Company have entered into a separate agreement, that agreement takes precedence.

Article 3 (Description of the Service)

  • Storing and viewing measurement results, and reviewing trends
  • Report generation (on screen and PDF; medical and beauty formats), face photo analysis, and AI cosmetic recommendations
  • Export of measurement data and lists (Excel, CSV, compressed files)
  • Report shared links
  • Management of institutions, accounts and devices, and management of report composition
  • Integration with the measurement device app, and Korean, English and Vietnamese (한국어 · English · Tiếng Việt) screens

Features may be limited depending on the type of institution and the User’s role.

Article 4 (Accounts)

  1. Accounts are issued by the Institution Admin (or the Company), and there is no separate sign-up procedure.
  2. A User can use the Service after setting a password through the link received by email (valid for 24 hours).
  3. Users must keep their account information accurate and promptly update it when it changes.
  4. Users are responsible for managing their account and password. An account may not be shared with or handed over to another person, and a User who becomes aware of unauthorized use must notify the Institution Admin or support immediately.
  5. A measurement institution account can be used on only one device at a time, so logging in on another device may end the session on the device used earlier.
  6. If password reset or login attempts fail several times, use may be restricted for a period of time for security.

Article 5 (Roles and scope of access)

RoleMain permissions
Institution AdminManage the institution’s accounts, devices and report settings; set up permanent sharing; manage Subjects and measurement data (including deletion); view the institution’s activity log
OperatorRegister and edit Subjects, perform measurements, view measurement data and edit notes
ViewerView measurement results

Users can access only the Subjects and measurement data registered to their own institution. Roles with view permission can also use the export function, so the User who downloads a file and the institution are responsible for storing and using the downloaded file.

Article 6 (Obligations of Users and institutions)

  1. Before measuring, institutions and Users must inform the Subject that face photos and measurement results will be stored and used, and obtain any necessary consent, before using the Service. For Subjects under 14, the consent of a legal representative is required.
  2. Personally identifying information that is not needed for measurement must not be entered in free-text fields such as the memo field.
  3. To protect personal information, downloads of lists, measurement data, face analysis images and report PDFs, deletions of Subjects and measurement data, and withdrawals are recorded in the activity log (who performed the action, date and time, conditions, number of records, IP address) and kept for 400 days.

The following acts are prohibited.

  • Using or sharing another person’s account without authorization
  • Attempting to access data without permission (including another institution’s data)
  • Interfering with the Service or servers, collecting data in bulk by automated means, or uploading malicious code
  • Reverse engineering, copying or tampering with the Service, the app or the device software, or damaging the device serial number label
  • Providing or disclosing reports or measurement data to third parties in violation of law or beyond the scope the Subject consented to
  • Presenting or promoting measurement results as if they were a medical diagnosis

The Company may restrict the use of a User who violates this Article in accordance with Article 12.

Article 7 (Nature of measurement results and precautions)

※SkinCube is not a medical device. Use it only for measuring skin condition and analyzing data. It cannot be used to diagnose, treat, alleviate or prevent disease, and the results are reference information, not a medical judgment.

  • Measured values, reports, skin type, skin age and AI cosmetic recommendations are for reference only. If you have a skin problem or suspect a medical condition, consult a doctor or other professional.
  • Measured values may vary with skin condition and the measurement environment (time since cleansing, measurement site, temperature and humidity, etc.). Please follow the measurement steps in the product manual.
  • Do not use it on the eyes, mucous membranes, wounds, inflamed areas, areas right after a treatment, or areas with severe breakouts. If a Subject reports pain or discomfort, stop immediately.
  • AI cosmetic recommendations do not guarantee the effectiveness or safety of any product, and Users make their own decisions about choosing and using products.

Article 8 (Ownership and use of data)

  1. Measurement data is the record of the relevant institution. The Company stores and processes it on the institution’s behalf to the extent necessary to provide the Service, and the processing of personal information follows the Privacy Policy.
  2. Measured values and the measurement date and time, device and operator are kept exactly as measured by the measurement device and cannot be changed at the institution’s discretion. Institution Admins can delete measurement data and Subjects, and deleted data cannot be recovered.
  3. Institutions and Users permit the Company to use measurement data to the extent necessary to provide the Service (storage, display, backup, translation, analysis, etc.).
  4. The Company may use statistics and analysis results processed so that individuals cannot be identified to improve Service quality and to validate its analysis algorithms.
  5. Intellectual property rights in the Service’s software, screens, report formats, analysis algorithms, trademarks and the like belong to the Company (or the rightful owner). They may not be copied, modified, distributed or sold without the Company’s written permission.
  6. Users can download the institution’s data within the scope of their permissions using the Service’s export function.

Article 9 (Shared links)

  1. Users with measurement permission can share a report with a QR code or link. By default the link expires after 24 hours, and only the Institution Admin can turn permanent sharing (no expiry) on or off and reissue links.
  2. Anyone who knows the link can view the report and save it as a PDF without logging in. The User and institution who shared it are responsible for deciding who receives it and how, and for keeping the link from leaking.
  3. Sharing must be done only within the scope that was explained to and agreed by the Subject.
  4. If a link is leaked, the Institution Admin must turn off permanent sharing or reissue the link so that the previous link can no longer be used.

Article 10 (Measurement device)

  1. The device must be used in compliance with the warnings and precautions in the product manual and warranty card. The warranty may not apply to accidents and damage caused by failure to do so.
  2. The device’s quality warranty and A/S follow the warranty card provided with the product and the Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards.
  3. An internet connection (2.4GHz Wi-Fi) is required to use the Service. The Company may provide updates to the device app and firmware, and the power must not be turned off during an update, as instructed.
  4. Before transferring, returning or disposing of a device, the institution must delete the data with Settings > Reset device and ask support to unlink the device from the institution, and reset data cannot be recovered.

Article 11 (Provision, change and suspension of the Service)

The Company makes efforts to provide the Service reliably, but the Service may be interrupted or contain errors due to maintenance, failures, problems with external services or force majeure. Where it can be known in advance, as with maintenance, we give prior notice, and we announce changes to or termination of the Service from 30 days before the date they apply. Where prior notice is difficult, such as urgent security measures, we act first and notify afterwards.

Article 12 (Restriction of use, termination and withdrawal)

  1. A User may withdraw at any time by choosing “Withdraw account” on the My Account screen and confirming their password, or may ask support to process the withdrawal. An Institution Admin cannot withdraw staff members and can only deactivate them, and the last Institution Admin of an institution cannot withdraw on their own until another Institution Admin has been assigned.
  2. On withdrawal, the name, email, phone number and login ID are deleted so the User can no longer be identified, and the User can no longer log in. Withdrawal cannot be undone.
  3. Even after withdrawal, the Subjects and measurement data the User registered or measured are not deleted and remain as the institution’s records. The author of those records is shown only as “Withdrawn user” or “-”.
  4. An Institution Admin can deactivate accounts belonging to the institution, and when the agreement between the institution and the Company ends, the institution’s use of the Service ends.
  5. If a prohibited act under Article 6 or a security threat is identified, the Company may, after prior notice, restrict use or terminate the account. In urgent cases, we act first and notify afterwards.

Article 13 (Limitation of liability)

  1. Unless there is intent or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for damages caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, failures of communications, email or external services, or the fault of a User (such as careless password management, leaking of a shared link, or incorrect input or measurement methods).
  2. Unless there is intent or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for the consequences of judgments, actions or product purchases made by Users or institutions on the basis of measurement results or AI recommendations.
  3. As a rule, disputes between an institution and a Subject are to be resolved by the parties, and the Company cooperates to the extent necessary.
  4. Unless there is intent or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for indirect damages, special damages or lost profits.

Article 14 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms are interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute between the Company and a User or institution relating to the Service shall be resolved in the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
